The Germanic Studies Department is hosting Prof. Kira Thurman (University of Michigan) on Thursday, May 15 at 5:00 in Rosenwald Hall, room 015:  “On Musical Masquerade and Mimicry: Disco, Black Europe, and the Re-Making of a Music Industry.” The following day will be a workshop in Classics 20 at noon. This event is co-sponsored by the Music Department and the Department of Race, Diaspora and Indigeneity.
